Our Projects

Prime Natural Resources and its affiliates offer global experience and capabilities in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas.

Recently completed and currently active projects include:

• Kurdistan Region of Northern Iraq
  Our affiliates, Hawler Energy, Ltd and Shakal Production, Ltd, were awarded significant interests in two of the first five production sharing contracts awarded by the Kurdistan Regional Government. Exploration activities are progressing at both concessions.
• US Gulf Coast
  Prime maintains interests in a number of off-shore producing gas wells. We sold our remaining productive on-shore oil and gas assets during 2007.
• Colombia
  In 2002, we identified an acquisition opportunity for certain heavy oil concessions in Colombia. Under our leadership and development, production was increased from a few hundred barrels per day to nearly 25,000 BOPD. These assets were sold during 2007.
• Ecuador
  We provide executive management and financial oversight of a power generation business that is majority-owned by our shareholder.
